As always Mr. Custer you bring a wide range of historical knowledge to the comment section of one of my articles. I have to say that the information you provide has made me think a bit about my conclusion. I think that although modern tanks have anti-missile technology built within the vehicle, due to the evolving nature of warfare we will soon see them being phased out.

On a counter point I think that anti-tank rifles will make a resurgence due to them being hard to counter by a tank crew. While you can use a pre-detonation system to trigger a rocket which is incoming towards a tank, no system is quick enough to counter a bullet. If a rifle strong enough to breach modern armour could be built, it would be devastating on the battlefield.

As always these are just theories. None of us can look into the future to see what will happen to warfare. We can only hope that we will not need to find out!
