Although true that Euler is famous within the Maths community he is much less widely known to people who do not study the subject, I mention this within the article as well as the fact that he discovered so many things that they had to name them after the 2nd person to discover them.

I assume you have a background in computing from the articles on your profile so that might be the reason why you personally know about Euler :).

This article was more to raise awareness about someone that I find interesting rather than to teach people who already know about him about his achievements.
